Starting his journey in cosmetology at the age of 16, Martin Rodriguez attended Fullerton Cosmetology and later graduated with a degree and professional license from Fullerton College.

In his early years, Martin often felt lost in the world of hair color — full of questions but unable to find clear answers. That all changed when he met educator Dennis Gebhart and chemist and educator Tom Dispenza, who opened his eyes to the true science behind hair color. For the first time, Martin understood what hair color really is — a chemical process, not just paint.

Throughout his 40-year career, Martin has continued to deepen his expertise through advanced education with leading color brands such as aveda , Wella, Redken, and Kin Color. His passion lies in helping stylists understand how color truly works — blending art with chemistry to achieve flawless, lasting results.

Today, Martin is known as a Master Hair Colorist, Educator, and Founder of ColourWand, specializing in balayage, color correction, and professional education for stylists who want to elevate their craft through true color knowledge.
